THE HANDS BEHIND THE TOOLS

My name is Cassie Kitchens and I am the owner, maker, and designer - a one woman shop. 

When I was a little gal, I dreamt of becoming an architect. I would draw houses thinking it was what architects did. You see, my dad was a fabricator and had his own welding business. He built things, he would bring home blueprints and let me in on what he was up to. And I suppose I fell in love with the idea of building things too. I remember we would sit up at night talking about what we were going to design together such as staircase rails, etc. Getting to the point here... I have always been the artsy kind, always wanting to build something with my hands, and I have always been an entrepreneur at heart.

My family has roots in Henderson County, Texas. I have been in Athens Tx since I was 4. Attending school and a couple of years at TVCC for drafting/engineering. 

I have always had an appreciation for design and long lasting craftsmanship quality. My products are classic and always in style. I love working with my hands and creating. This is how AWS was born.
